Sinukwan Festival is best portrayed as the essence of the Kapampangan spirit. The festival is commemorated by dancing in the street to the tune of “Atin Cu Pung Singsing” with extravagant headdresses and costumes. This is celebrated to honor Aring Sinukwan, who is a god of early Kapampangans.

Makatapak Festival means barefoot. The focus of this festival is to celebrate the victory over the Mt. Pinatubo eruption. This is being celebrated to remember that they walked barefoot to survive this disaster.

There are different countries around the globe that participate in the Philippine Hot Air Balloon Festival. It is a festival where colorful hot air balloons are flown and is celebrated between January and February at Omni Aviation Complex inside Clark Freeport Zone. Three years after the huge annihilation brought by the emission of Mt. Pinatubo, the hot air balloon celebration aims to increase Pampanga’s economy. Now, it is the greatest aviation sports occasion within the Philippines which was the objective of Pampanga.

Pedro Cutud Crucifixion Rites is a Holy Week or “Mahal na Araw” re-enactment of passion and death of Jesus Christ. It is celebrated in Barangay San Pedro Cutud of San Fernando City where most devotees of Good Friday devotees mirror the enduring of Christ. Throughout the year, the crucifixion has additional alternatives, which are real-life self-flagellation (magsilabatbat or magdarame), carrying of the cross, and crawling on the streets (kukusad).

Giant Lantern Festival or “Ligligan Parul" takes place in the City of San Fernando, the Christmas Capital of the Philippines. This event is being celebrated in December where various creators from seven barangays of San Fernando compete with each other. These giant lanterns have multiple colors which make them lively and bright.

Ibun-ebun Festival, also known as the “Birds and Eggs Festival” is a celebration that is held during February in Candaba, Pampanga. This festival showcases the celebration for a bountiful harvest of the duck industry. Also, the focus of this festival is the migratory of the birds where it advocates tourism. The most exciting here is the bird watching wherein various, unique, and rare birds are gather in the Candaba swamp before they migrate to another country.

Sabuaga Festival is commonly referred to a showering of flowers. This is being celebrated to honor Blessed Mother Mary by flowers being threw in the procession of Blessed Mother Mary and it takes place in Sto. Tomas everu Easter Sunday wherein they have street dancing to promote different product of the hometown.

Caragan Festival
Caragan is the name of the first chieftain of the native Aeta. It is held every third week of February through street dancing. The Aetas lead the presentation showcasing their customs and traditions in their native costume.

Apung Iru Fluvial Festival refers to the image of “St.Peter” and is a yearly celebration in Apalit, Pampanga that takes place from the 28th to 30th of June. Devotees colorfully make a fluvial parade. Also, they are being gathered in the Pampanga River to pray and sing religious hymns while waiting for the sacred image.

Pyestang Tugak, which means “Frog Festival,” exhibits various culinary ways in cooking frogs such as “betute,” also known as a stuffed frog, in the City of San Fernando. It is being celebrated to protect and preserve the Kapampangan culture and cuisine.
